Peace by Chocolate Issues Precautionary Voluntary Recall of Select Pistachio Containing Products
Peace by Chocolate has initiated a voluntary, precautionary recall of a limited number of pistachio-containing chocolate products manufactured on specific dates. This action follows a recall issued by one of our approved ingredient suppliers related to a specific lot of pistachios.
The recall has been classified as Class II by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), indicating a moderate, non-life-threatening risk. There have been no reported illnesses associated with Peace by Chocolate products, and this recall is not related to our manufacturing processes, sanitation programs, or food safety controls.
Out of an abundance of caution, and immediately upon notification from our supplier, Peace by Chocolate placed all relevant inventory on hold and worked closely with CFIA to ensure timely and appropriate action. Transparency, regulatory compliance, and responsible partnership with our vendors are central to how we operate.
Peace by Chocolate operates in an SQF-certified facility and maintains robust traceability systems, which allowed us to quickly identify affected products and take immediate action. We are actively communicating with impacted wholesale and retail partners.
What Vendors Need to Do Now:
